The Picnics are BACK!
Urban
Crayon Press will host a series of story telling and drawing picnics
at different venues around Delhi. See programme details for dates
and venues on the right.

For the May 1 date, please list your venue preference
at
the time of registration and the one with the
MOST VOTES will be selected.
Note: There is a PAID admission for both of these
places of Rs25/10 for local and Rs250 for foreigners.
Sing the Alphabet song, learn
about a Porcupine who likes to dance
and a very special park bench named Boris
who thinks he's a person; and draw city scenes from I
Saw Delhi sketch book and the upcoming
I Saw India book.
Illustrator Tina Rajan will bring monuments and
other of India's treasures to life through step by step sketches.To
learn more about the books, click here. The books will be available
for purchase at the workshops along with family-friendly Delhi guide
book, Urban Crayon Delhi (Random House, Nov 2009).
The story and drawing sessions will be tailored to two age
groups:
From ages 18 months to 4 (10:30 to 11:15)
and ages 5+ at 11:30 to 12:30 p.m.).
- Places will be limited to 25 kids per session.
- Since it is a picnic, a snack will be provided.
- Registration fee is Rs 500 per child and includes a snack and
drawing materials.
Take Rs 100 off the cost of I Saw Delhi if you purchase
a book at the picnic.
- Bring blankets or mats to sit on and a cap for the sun.
- We'll send a confirmation email along with the location.
